So,
This being built as a street photography publication this post (and a few posts to come) will not be that.
I was in a motorcycle accident and I was hit by a car. I’m going to be unable to shoot any street photography for a minimum of 3 months. I do have plans to still produce some work engaging in the human condition. So for a bit, there will be a hiatus that I hope is enjoyable reading and viewing.
I tried to capture the feelings of what it is like being in the hospital for 11 days and what there is to look at. How much waiting there is. The unknowing, the interrupted sleep, the anxiety of what comes, the thousand thoughts against a white wall. I am fortunate enough to have a partner who is there for me, so I wasn’t devastated enough to not have any motivation to still shoot. I have been there. No one at my bed side, not knowing how I am going to live or function once I am out of the hospital. This time around, I had hope and trust I’ll be okay. That being said it was still rough being laid up for almost 2 weeks staring at the same things over and over. Saying the same things to different doctors and nurses every 12 hours. Eating pretty much the same thing everyday. Watching the same shows on cable tv in 2025. Having a curtain as privacy, not knowing who’s going to be coming in and at what time.

I am out now. Excitedly home, but with a caveat of not using my left leg for three months. Like I stated I will not be able to shoot any street, but I will be looking to do some portraits. If you are in the Gainesville, FL area; direct message me if you’re interested in a project. I’ll be shooting your portrait a few times and you can have them for free.
